We only use serrations when they help the task at hand, not to side-step steel quality. A razor sharp medium-sized nakiri – with hand applied 8mm serrations – the TK14 will allow you to break down a Sirlion cooked on the bone with the same blade you use to make the tomato salsa to go with it.
