AGA RANGE COOKERS

AGA, RANGEMASTER, FALCOLN AND RANGER COOKERS ALL AVAILABLE AT MORLEYS

If you’ve ever owned an AGA, we don’t need to tell you how food tastes better. We don’t need to explain the unique warmth of an AGA kitchen. We don’t need to tell you how tactile an AGA cooker is. These are all things you tell us. Perhaps, though, there are a few things you don’t know, with things hugely changing over the last few years:

  • There are many sizes – the smallest is just 60cm wide.
  • Many AGA cookers now come with state-of-the-art induction hobs.
  • The vast majority AGA cookers sold are now electric, and this is what we concentrate on here at Morley Stoves.

THE AGA BASICS

AGA cast-iron cookers work differently, using gentle radiant heat. Cast iron is a fantastic material for retaining and – even more importantly – radiating heat. This kind of cooking is gentler on food and locks in all the moisture, flavour and goodness, meaning the food you serve tastes delicious.

There are two types of AGA Electric cookers you can choose, both cook using radiant heat, with the

R-Series models (24/7 Radiant heat) which are designed to always be on and ready to cook whereas eR-Series models (Everyday Radiant heat)  offer greater flexibility, and can be switched on and off as required.

AGA ERA SERIES

The AGA ERA 110-3i offers cast-iron radiant heat-storage cooking combined with innovative technology to provide additional range cooker capabilities. The ERA is the ‘next generation’ AGA designed to fulfil the needs of:

ERA is a mix of evolution and revolution. It’s where technology meets design and where heritage meets modernity. And it’s where glass is used extensively for the first time to create a striking, unified aesthetic that is beautiful, contemporary and fits perfectly into a modern kitchen. When David Fisher, Chief Design Consultant to AGA, was asked to consider how a new, disruptive and mould-breaking cooker from AGA might look and feel, he responded with the tantalising question: why not a glass AGA? David says: “The use of glass lends ERA a liquid quality as the sleek black glass cascades down from the top.

The design is clean, cohesive and beautiful while also functionally brilliantly capable. It is modern and progressive while also faithful to a heritage stretching back more than 100 years.” With a design, then, that is both discreet and striking, this exceptional, unexpected cooker has a natural place in today’s kitchen. Each element of ERA – including the pristine lines of the glass-fronted oven doors and the ergonomically designed handles – has been carefully considered to create an appliance with premium design values, honest, hard-working materials and a quietly assertive aesthetic. With engaging tactility and mindful detailing, life with ERA from AGA offers the best of both worlds – from a quick weeknight dinner through to the meditative practice that helps us unwind. ERA offers an all-in-one solution. It takes a sensory approach to cooking, with every feature touch-screen controlled.

There are details so cleverly designed they go unnoticed, but it is these touches that ensure you get the very best from the ingredients you choose to cook. On top there is an induction hob beside a cast-iron hotplate. Alongside a fan oven, ERA also has two cast-iron ovens which cook using radiant heat. This offers an intuitive, kind to-food way of cooking. It’s natural and elemental. We think of it as akin to sunshine through a window. It’s a warm and penetrating heat made possible due to the thermal properties of cast iron. Food cooked this way tastes better because it has been treated gently. Radiant heat cooking is an effective, efficient and effortless way to roast, bake, grill, steam, fry and slow-cook and to get the most succulent, nutritious dishes. ERA, then, is a cook’s cooker, created to fit seamlessly into your kitchen and to effortlessly integrate into your life. Expect the unexpected with ERA. The new glass AGA. Notes to editors AGA is part of Middleby Residential, a world leader in premium residential kitchen appliances.

R-SERIES : 24/7 RADIANT HEAT

Showroom Models to view: R3 90-3i: British Racing GreenR7 150i Colour: Linen

Cookers in this range resemble most closely the original AGA. They are on all the time, keeping the kitchen cosy, and are ready to cook the moment you are.

24/7 AGA cookers do much more than just cook. They take the place of a tumble drier, toaster, bread maker and electric kettle and can even get creases out of freshly laundered items, such as pillow cases, and in a home with a 24/7 AGA the heating will tend to go on later in the season and off earlier.

If you work from home, live in a draughty house or simply want the comforting reassurance of an AGA that’s on all the time, this collection offers everything you need.

The ovens and hotplates can be switched on and off independently and, on certain models, a state-of-the-art induction hob sits alongside the traditional AGA hotplate. With models from just 60cm wide, up to the largest AGA ever, there’s a model to suit every space.

if you are out a lot, but want the results only radiant heat cooking produces and would love a cast-iron AGA cooker that seamlessly adapts to your day-to-day needs, then this is the collection for you.

The new electric AGA eR7 provides a cast-iron baking oven, roasting oven and simmering oven and the 150 model offers two additional steel ovens or slow cooking and warming. Two AGA hotplates, one for boiling and one for simmering, offer further versatility and can accommodate extra-large pans or may be used as a cooking surface. The five oven model provides enhanced flexibility with its extra ovens and offers the choice of either a  warming plate or a state-of-the-art induction hob

Testimonials

"The team at Morley Stoves were excellent from start to finish. Not only did they have the stove in stock, they were able to despatch it the same day so it arrived as quickly as possible and in time for an all-important garden gathering of six! The stove itself, the Quaruba XL mobile is a beast. It arrived well packaged on a pallet but I had to take the wheels off (4 simple bolts) and the two fire stones out to make it light enough for two people to lift - it weighs 97kg overall.
We've now had it lit on three occasions and it draws some admiring comments, really making it a talking point. As Morely Stoves advised, it needs to be fired-up at least one hour before you intend to make benefit from it as it needs a long warm-up time but once it's going it really belts out a lot of heat in all directions.

"What a wonderful company to deal with, I cannot fault them in any way. After seeking advice on a RB73 Quaruba XL it was ordered Friday afternoon and delivered Monday afternoon. The delivery team were fantastic, especially as we changed the position 3 times before deciding where we wanted it."
