Our brief was to design a stove that was as clean as possible, meeting Eco Design standards. But once we had designed our new combustion system, we realised that we could aim much higher, and in final testing our new stoves bettered Eco Design emissions levels by seven times. In addition to being clean, it was essential that our new stove offer outstanding performance and we were very pleased to achieve efficiency ratings of up to 86%. We were also tasked with introducing a genuinely innovative improvement to the new range. So, we focused on the door handle mechanism as this part of any stove is the most susceptible to wear and tear.
