The Serendipity is a minimalist design relying on simplicity and perfect proportions to achieve its effect. It embodies the ‘less is more’ ethos that inspired Chesneys Contemporary Collection. In common with the Sanctuary, the stove door is opened with a concealed mechanism engineered for longevity of use and to compliment the uncluttered appearance of the stove.
The Serendipity 5 shares the same concealed door mechanism as The Sanctuary stove but has a concentrically fashioned air control lever at the base of the door. It is available on a low base or raised on a log store

Our brief was to design a stove that was as clean as possible, meeting EcoDesign standards. But once we had designed our new combustion system, we realised that we could aim much higher, and in fi nal testing our new stoves bettered EcoDesign emissions levels by seven times. In addition to being clean, it was essential that our new stove offer outstanding performance and we were very pleased to achieve efficiency ratings of up to 86%. We were also tasked with introducing a genuinely innovative improvement to the new range. So, we focused on the door handle mechanism as this part of any stove is the most susceptible to wear and tear.
